Busan City announced on December 12 that Hyeonjin Material Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Chang-gyu) was selected as the “Grand Prize” Awardee.
DSR Co., Ltd. (President Hong Soon-mo), a specialty rope manufacturer, Panax Itec Co., Ltd. (President Byun Jun-seok), a 2nd battery electrolyte manufacturer, and Myungjin TSR Co., Ltd. (President Jo See Young), a specialty rubber manufacturer, were selected for the “Excellence Awards.”
Hyeonjin Material Co., Ltd. achieved export sales of $87.29 million in the past year through shipbuilding engine parts.
In addition, in recognition of their contributions to Busan exports, Lee Se-young, a manager at Korninox Co., Ltd., and Kang Yoon-kyung, an assistant at the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, were among the nine people selected.
The award ceremony will be held at the Lotte Hotel in Busan on December 14, co-organized by Busan City, the Busan Trade Association (Chairman Cho Sung-je), and the Busan Branch of the Korea Trade Association (Director Nam Jin-woo).
The Busan Export Award event has been held annually since 1999 to encourage local exporters who have worked to increase exports through the opening of new overseas markets, quality improvement, and new product development.
Meanwhile, to celebrate the 48th National Trade Day, 41 people from Busan, including Seo Sang-won, CEO of Oriental Precision Co., Ltd., and Yoon Sung-jun, executive vice president of Panasia Co., Ltd., received government awards, including the Industrial Medal.
In addition, 157 companies, including Oriental Precision Co., Ltd. (20 million dollars in export) and Nabuco Co., Ltd. (President Jang Jin-sik) (10 million dollars in export), received government export towers.
