Induction Bending Mechanism

● Induction Bending Mechanism

  • When the electric power is supplied from the high frequency generator to a heating coil surrounding the pipe, a narrow circumferential band around the pipe comes to be heated inductively. As the appropriate bending temperature is reached up, the pipe is mechanically driven through the heating coil and immediately cooled by water or air depending on the kind of materials, while the bending moment is applied to the heated zone. The rotation of the pipe end clamped at a predetermined distance from the arm post center, which is equal to the radius of curvature, causes the plastic deformation at the heated zone resulting in bending with specified bending radius and angle.
